Fanfic ideas

tetsuro_hoshino999I should be writing my essay... however, I feel the urge to write some fanfic. Writing them will take too much time away from my essay, so I just going to write short summaries of the ideas I have so far. I don't have titles for any of them yet. Warning: my second fan fic has spoilers for the final episode.
Jetter Mars
Fic one:
This fic is the first fic that I came up with for the series and it's about how Dr. Yamanoue and Kawashimo met in university. Dr. Yamanoue developed a reputation among students from his high school that he's too competitive for his own good. Kawashimo and Yamanoue are paired up in a group assignment, with leads to them developing an unexpected friendship. When Kawashimo and Yamanoue take a mindterm test, Kawashimo sees the overly competitive side of Yamanoue as Yamanoue's mark does not meet his expectations. Kawashimo learns why Yamanoue is so competitive in school when he overhears an conversion between him and his dad. With exams coming up, Kawashimo thinks of a plan to help Yamanoue however, this plan might jeopardize their friendship.
Fic 2:
Yamanoue has difficulties adjusting his new life in Japan after he returns from Ropuras's dictatorship. He's no longer the Minster of Science and it's uncertain that he will have custody over his children. Mars is growing older, which means new challenges in their relationship. Not only that, running his new robot commission business causes additional stress. Yamanoue needs to emotionally open up to others in others and accept the changes in his life in order to overcome this growing pain.
This story is the hardest for me to work on. I'm not sure how to go about this conflict and there's a lot going on at once. I originally wanted this story to be about Yamanoue coming to terms with seeing Joe because he's the garbage man that picks up his trash every week. However, putting this in the story might over-complicate things. I might make the Joe story a one shot later or scrap the other ideas and focus on Joe and Yamanoue. Nothing is really set in stone and this needs a lot of work.
Fic 3:
One summer day, Mars visits Joe and they go out and pick flowers for Chiro's (Joe's pet bird) grave. After paying their respects, Mars asks Joe how he met Chiro. Joe tells him the story and how much Chiro means to him.
Rainbow Brite
Fic 1:
This one is pretty much Lurky's origin story. This story is based on the TV series so no Gloom Cloud. However, I'm going to use some ideas from the German tapes (such as giving Lurky a brother). Lurky and his family are regular sprites. However, something happens to Lurky that makes him look the way he is.
Lurky's family is excited for the future of their two sons. Lurky's older brother has been chosen to be a favourite sprite for a colour kid (I haven't decided on what colour or environmental powers they have yet). Meanwhile, Lurky's antennae are fully grown, so he will work in the Colour mines in the upcoming fall. Since his brother has become a favourite sprite, Lurky has high hopes for himself that he will follow in his brother's footsteps.
However, working in the mines was harder than he expected. Lurky keeps getting orders wrong or hurting himself with the mine equipment. The miners act overly nice to them which gives Lurky hope of becoming a favourite sprite. However, as time progress, the miners niceness starts sounding passive aggressive. One day, Lurky finishes his lunch earlier than usual and returns to the colour cave. He overhears the sprites gossiping about him. Lurky is crushed to find out that the Spites believe that he will never amount to anything. The miners agree that a colour kid would never choose him as a favourite sprite. Another Sprite says that it's a good thing that he'll never become a favourite Sprite because his clumsiness gives the workers something to laugh at.
Feeling heartbroken, Lurky runs away from Rainbow Land to find a colour kid on his own. However, in his quest to find a colour kid, he wanders off to The Pits. The monsters living in the Pits make him want to return to Rainbow Land but, he looses his way and finds Murky's home. Lurky asks him if he can stay but Murky is reluctant. However, Murky makes an agreement that Lurky could stay in his home if he helps him build the Grunge Buggy. If he builds the Gunge Buggy, he will drive him back to Rainbowland. Lurky agrees. While staying at Murky's, Lurky feels conflicted towards returning to Rainbowland because, in spite of Murky's name calling, he feels more useful as Murky's assistant. However, Murky tries to get Lurky to tell him all he knows about the Colour Cave so he can plan an attack on it.
Fic 2:
Rainbow Brite wants to organize a sleep over party (even though all the colour kids live in the colour castle). However, Rainbow Brite invites Lurky because she feels bad that he doesn't have a true friend. Twink dislikes the idea because he's Murky's assistant so he asks suspicious towards Lurky throughout the party. His suspicious feelings turn to envy because everyone is super nice to him, especially Rainbow. Twink gets a nightmare during the sleep over that Rainbow dumps Twink for Lurky as a her favourite Sprite and Twink becomes Murky's assistant.
Twink wakes up form the nightmare and goes downstairs to the kitchen because overhears some suspicious sounds. However, it's just Lurky getting a mid-night snack. Twink learns more about Lurky's feelings as Lurky says that Twink is lucky for having good friends like Rainbow Brite and the Colour Kids and his mixed feelings towards Murky. After the conversion, Twink was able to sleep peacefully for the rest of the night.
For this story, I want to use some of Lurky's characterization from the German Tapes (or least when it comes with his feelings towards Murky).

Mrs. Dismal sends a letter to Murky that she will visit him soon. Scared of his mother, he makes a body swapping machine and he swaps bodies with Lurky so Lurky can deal with his mother instead of him. However, Murky's plan does not work as well as he wanted.
